March 26, 2018 – Jackson, CA – Sierra Hearth & Home recently announced two of their hearth consultants, Shirley Hampton and Lee Johnston have expanded their expertise by earning their Hearth Design Specialist certification from the National Fireplace Institute.
Public safety in the design and installation of a hearth product is the number one concern for Stan and Shirley Hampton, owners of Sierra Hearth & Home in Jackson. “Many of the critical decisions about any fireplace, stove or insert are made during the sales process,” said Stan, who already holds the highest certification of NFI Master Hearth Professional. “Because the hearth involves flame, heat and venting of combustion products, it is very important for sales staff to have the specialized knowledge so that the hearth appliance is properly designed long before I get out there to install it.”
Shirley Hampton, co owner of Sierra Hearth & Home and Community and Disaster Relief Chaplain for Amador County has been selling hearth products since the store’s opening in 2006. “We wanted to be able to offer the best service possible to our customers, so Lee Johnston and I took the steps to become NFI certified,” she said. “Because we are the first people our customers talk to, this gives us the knowledge and expertise to discuss the important design and safety aspects of the
hearth, and to make sure our customers get the hearth of their dreams.”
Lee Johnston has been working with Sierra Hearth & Home for eight years, and has over thirteen years in the hearth industry. She is always ready to help customers with a smile and exceptional knowledge of hearth products. By completing her Hearth Design Specialist certification, she has the technical knowledge and background to help customers make the best hearth decisions for their homes — from proper floor protection to appliance sizing and placement to venting system compatibility and height.
Stop by the store and congratulate Lee and Shirley on their accomplishments!
